Having to move house in Perth? The task can be rather daunting especially if you’ve been living in the same house for some time. The amount of “stuff” that you may have collected can be huge. And the chances are that as you start packing up you will find “stuff” that you haven’t seen or used for many years.
So what can you do to make it easier. Well… here’s my top tips for moving house.
1. Be prepared to throw a lot of stuff away. It’s a great opportunity to declutter and it’s worth being “harsh”. If you haven’t used it or seen it for some time then either throw it away or have a garage sale. When moving house in Perth it’s no use packing it and then having to unpack it at the new house and finding somewhere to store it.
2. Be organized. Make sure you have everything you need to pack efficiently. You’ll need packing boxes of various sizes, box tape, marker pens to label your boxes and as per point 1 above… you may want a big dumping bin to throw out the rubbish. And if you’ve got kids, you’re going to have to get them organized as well. If you have a large house, it’s going to take you a few days to pack everything.
